FAQs
Q) How to take care of metal products?
A) Brass/Copper care instructions
- To clean any brass product, simply wipe it with a soft dry cloth.
- To further clean, use the usual kitchen dish soap and rinse it under water.
- Do not use a harsh scrubber, like the ones containing steel wool. Steel wool might scratch the surface. Use sponge instead.
- Do not keep the brass product soaked. Simply wash it and then wipe any remaining water on it with a soft kitchen cloth/paper towel.
- Pure Brass is prone to oxidation with time. If there appears to be any rusting/darkening of the surface:
- Just rub any metal polish/shiner to make your product as good as new.
- Another way is to take half a lemon, sprinkle some salt on it and rub the slice on the product and in a few seconds you will see it shining again.
- Do not store salt in Brass Masala Box or Brass Storage Canisters. Salt can react with Brass. Also, avoid storing sour/acidic products in brass containers without tin coating.
- It is NOT advisable to wash brass/bronze utensils in dish washer as these are delicate metals. Use dish washer at your own discretion.
Q) Is brass safe for skin? Will it turn my skin green?

A) Our bags are made of burlap or jute which is a plant-based fabric. this means no, our bags are not waterproof. What we do provide though is a waterproof raincover if need be. If you plan to go hiking/ trekking/ roaming in the rain or under waterfalls then use a rain cover for protection.
Q) I am vegan, I don't use leather - what are my options?
A) If you are a vegan or simply don't like the look/ feel/ smell of leather, we hear ya. We are trying to find all-vegan options that aren't made of synthetics but that may take us a little while still. In the mean time, we do offer a synthetic leather option.
